Which is better? You choose.
Being in a prison and not knowing you are in the (physical) prison. Suffering (psychologically) hysterically inside without knowing you are suffering...The suffering will only show up when things don't go your ways.
Being in the prison (mind prison) and fully realizing you are in the prison and so being free of it. However, you are imprisoned physically, so you suffer pain from being connected to everything but cannot break away and cannot liberate your fellow lives... But you in tune with the deeper realm of life, so you are joyous by having the purpose of doing something to liberate them, and with that realm of life, you can shake the thinking-too-much-of-others easily, so blissfulness is always with you.

Positive Cynicism
Some people call some people cynical because they don't know what cynicism really means. Being cynical doesn't mean it is not good for your inner being - Being cynical can be really healthy and peaceful because you know you are cynic because you are one with love, compassion and truth radically in your heart. Cynicism in this sense differs from cynicism of being grumpy and being against the world (negatively criticizing and looking at the things). It means viewing the things in a new meaning...For example, you see a person buying a plastic good...One person who is buying it thinks nothing but subsconciously there is a voice saying "It is for my convenience of life and I am satisfied". Nothing more than that. The other person who is in need of buying it thinks (conciously), "I am in need to use it, I am not buying it unnecessarily, and I am realizing that eventhough I am buying it I am not buying without realizing that where plastic comes from and what bad it does cause".
This is what I mean buy "blissful cynicism". It's a positive vibrating energy, not the cynicism of wanting to end one's life because the world is too miserable because of humans' evilish conducts. Unfortunately, most people view these people as unhappy and having self-control that stresses them, but in actuality, being aware that comes from love for living beings, the environment, society and the world is an extreme positive energy.

Transcend you consciousness into love, and nothing but love
In the new style of yoga class (named Transcendas) I took on Thursday, 9 Feb 2012 with Shane, with integration of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) into yoga, I learned about the qualities I wanted to bring into and take out of my life. Shane asked to to choose one quality from The Four Perfect Virtues of Buddhism that we would like to bring into our life:
Metta - Learning to be your best friend and then also learning to be a friend to others.
Karuna - Compassion or seeing suffering in yourself and seeing suffering in others, and doing something to overcome your own suffering and the suffering of others.
Mudita - Being happy when you see others happy.
Upekkha - Having an equanimous and non-reactive mind - being equally non-reactive to ups and downs of life.
Mudita - Being happy when you see others happy.
Upekkha - Having an equanimous and non-reactive mind - being equally non-reactive to ups and downs of life.
I chose Karuna - because I wanted to make my life to be of service to all lives Better. My current ways of living, though better than some others, are not good enough. So I spoke the word compassion in my mind while doing yoga poses that resembled bringing good energy into myself.
Shane also asked us to have in our minds a quality that we would like to discard from our lives/transform. In the actual class, I chose jealousy (like people with more beauty, haha), but I realize now that I want to choose "Minding others' bad treatment to me." Not that I can't retain my mind's stability when facing people saying bad to me, but sometimes I can't help feeling bad, though not too much.
And I want to transform bad treatment by others into Upekkha and love - into thinking that I might act wrongly, so I should improve; that I would never treat the same to anyone; and that everyone makes mistakes - Why do you expect humans with worldly nature to be perfect? It's not about forgiving - forgiving means you hate others which must happen before you forgive them, but understanding and working towards changing inner beings of all.

You can't feel it when you don't do it
They hurt you (by "hurt" psychological hurts sometimes are more violent than physical) because they are jealous of you - they want to be like you but they can't. They hurt you because their life are not at all in the realm of your way of life, so they completely can't understand what that kind of life is. But that does not mean you are hurt - it's them who are hurt, because every one of us subconsciously, though not consciously, suffers tremendously deep down inside because his/her intention is extremely negative. When you are sincere, well-intentioned, and never hurt others by your words or actions, you can never be hurt - you are blissful inside because of your peace, and you feel pitiful to them who are struggling with hurts they do to themselves by hurting others. Violence does not only mean killing another.

Issue most people are obsessed to
If people are good to you, that is good, because good relationship and affection are important in our life. If people are bad to you, that is also good, because it can test your forgiveness, patience, love and stillness of your psyche.

Schools: Useless for a free life
Schools are where they learn things that are useless for a free life, but necessary for a life of slavery and alienation. They create beings that depend on technology in order to live in these concrete nests called cities, but more closely resemble large prisons. They train malleable minds to be used for entrepreneurship and to expand civilization over wild nature. We will not permit this.

Narcissistic “fulfillment”
Will we continue to stand idly by as C. Wright Mills' “Power Elite” reduces us to over-consumptive, indentured automatons, with no voice and little choice but to devote our lives to the hollow, meaningless pursuits of materialism, the bread and circuses they provide, and narcissistic “fulfillment” via the wage and debt slavery that enables the perpetuation of their obscene gluttony and condemns our souls to pecuniary bondage?

Seeing is Not Thinking
An extract from THE GREAT LEAP OF MIND - Rubén Feldman González
Perhaps you'll agree with me that we have learnt to be incoherent and to insult intelligence moment by moment.
You are insulting intelligence right now smoking your tobacco cigarette. But it's not enough if I tell you. If you don't see right now what you are doing (in Unitary Perception) you'll never stop smoking.
QUESTION: I have to see that smoking is incoherent and unintelligent. But I see it and I don't stop smoking.
R.F.G.: You don't see that smoking is unintelligent, you think it is. When you see what smoking is you'll stop smoking immediately. To see is not to think.
Let's have another example of incoherence: "To procreate more children and earn more money is good for mankind."
In reality intelligence shouts to me that overpopulation and greed are destroying the livable surface of the planet and are endangering the life of all mammals, including my little dog and mankind.
For the first time in the written history of man we face the possibility of the end of mankind.
There is interpersonal incoherence, incoherence between ideas and belief, incoherence between man and nature, between the use of technology and the survival of man, incoherence between belief and action, etc.
QUESTION: I believe I understand that part of the problem is to have overvalued thought, the self and even our gross fantasies as if they were something "spiritual."
R.F.G.: Yes. But we don't see (in Unitary Perception) that the ecological and economic collapse of the industrial civilization (both capitalist and communist) have their root in overvaluing thought.
We are all going to die. You know.
The understanding that we are mortal, that nobody avoids that fate of man, brings great sorrow. That's why we spend our life avoiding to think of death and denying (unconsciously) the sorrow of thinking about our own death "when everything goes o.k."
We dont's talk about the man who wants to die because his cancer hurts.
When everything goes okay we deny the sorrow of knowing we are going to die.
Then we escape from that fundamental sorrow (which is also anger and fear).
The escapes are the search for profit, prestige, fame, power, pleasure, entertainment, etc.
Those escapes are easier when we believe the moment of the death is far away.
I say we have to understand paradox, because it is a necessary paradox to talk about silence. To talk about silence is not incoherent, it is a paradox.
There is something specific to do in silence. I call it Unitary Perception.
Another paradox is to understand that we live fully only when we accept that we are going to die and when we stop avoiding the sorrow of knowing we are going to die.
To live with death is to renounce the habit of verbalizing. Right here starts Unitary Perception.
